As we continue our scenic drive, marvel at the captivating canyons, valleys, and charming villages dotting the landscape of Crete. The journey itself offers a splendid opportunity to admire the natural beauty of the region.

When we arrive and reach the expansive parking area, a short 5-10 minute walk is required to reach the main beach and seafront.

Upon reaching Elafonisi Beach, you'll have approximately 4.5 hours of free time to immerse yourself in its stunning surroundings. Dive into the crystal-clear waters for a refreshing swim, lounge on the pink sand, indulge in snacks from the beach bar, and capture the breathtaking scenery through your lens. Elafonisi Beach exudes tranquility, providing ample space to unwind and connect with nature.

After a memorable time at Elafonisi Beach, we'll embark on the return journey to Heraklion, lasting around 4 hours. During the drive back, we'll make a brief stop for restroom breaks and snacks, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable ride home.

Upon the conclusion of the tour, participants will board the buses and head back to their respective hotels, where they were originally picked up in the morning. The duration of the return journey to each hotel may vary depending on traffic conditions and the individual pick-up locations for each participant.

About the beach:

  • Participants may bring their own lunch box as there are not many options at the beach for lunch. There is only one traditional tavern located at the very entrance of the parking spot. Additionally, there are two beach bars and snack bars offering a variety of fresh drinks, beer, ice cream, coffees, and pies or sandwiches.
  • Elafonisi offers sunbeds and umbrellas, with prices ranging from €8 to €15 and possibly higher, depending on the month and sometimes even the hour of the day.
  • There are also toilets available on the beach, although there is a very small fee to use them.
