Chrissi is a small, uninhabited Greek island located in the Libyan Sea, just south of Crete. Chrissi Island is famous for its stunning Golden Beach, a stretch of golden sand that meets crystal-clear turquoise waters. This beach is an ideal spot for sunbathing, swimming, and relaxing. Another unique feature of Chrissi Island is its natural cedar forest, which is one of the largest in Europe. You can take a walk through this serene forest and enjoy the peaceful ambiance. Last but not least, the island is also known for its unique fossils and shell fossils. You can find various types of shells scattered along the beaches, some of which are remnants of ancient sea life.

As a result, certain activities may be restricted to protect the island's biodiversity and natural resources. Please note that access to the island is only permitted by swimming to the shore, as mooring boats are not allowed. Tour schedule

6:25 - 8:50

For the morning pick-up, we will start gathering participants from designated pick-up points. The exact pick-up time will vary based on the location of your hotel or apartment.

We will enjoy a journey by bus from Heraklion to Ierapetra.

The first stop is going to be the town of Ierapetra.

Ierapetra is the southernmost and warmest town in Europe and serves as the departure point for the boat trip to Chrissi Island. Board the boat and set sail across the Libyan Sea to the uninhabited island.

The cruise will start at 11:00 am and it will last for about 6 hours.

Chrissi island:

Upon arrival at Chrissi Island, you will have plentiful time to immerse yourself in the crystalline waters that envelop the island. Dive from the boat into the inviting sea, relish in refreshing swims, and bask in the natural beauty of the island's pristine beaches if you want to swim to the shore! As part of the experience, the boat will also embark on a leisurely cruise around the captivating island of Chrissi, granting you breathtaking views and opportunities to capture the island's scenic places.

During the cruise, lunch will be served on board the boat (extra charge), providing a delightful meal to savor amidst the tranquil surroundings (please consult your guide on the bus for the option to purchase lunch in advance at a discounted price). Alternatively, you can also avail yourself of snacks and drinks from the onboard snack bar, ensuring you stay refreshed throughout the excursion.

The cruise ends at 17:00 when the boat will arrive back to Ierapetra.

After we finish the cruise we will enjoy free time in Ierapetra for about 30 minutes.

Enjoy a brief period of free time to stroll along the beautiful beach road.

Please note that the timings and itinerary are subject to change based on unforeseen circumstances or weather conditions.

As described before, kindly be aware that access to the island is only permitted by swimming to the shore, as mooring boats are not allowed. Once ashore, you can immerse yourself in the stunning beaches and wander through the captivating cedar forests, experiencing the island's remarkable charm firsthand.

At the conclusion of the tour, participants will board the buses and return to their respective points where they were initially picked up in the morning. The duration of the return journey to each hotel may vary depending on traffic conditions and the specific pick-up locations for each participant.
